BWT is proud to announce its sponsorship and support for The Beach Co-op’s – Woman and Water Program
Aaniyah Martin (founder of The Beach Co-op) and Gary Daines (Managing Director of BWT Africa), jointly announced the exciting partnership.
The Beach Co-op (TBCO) was born from the desire to do something for the ocean that gives us so much. In 2015, a group of volunteers started gathering at Surfers Corner in Muizenberg to clean waste, much of it plastic, that was accumulating along the rocky shoreline. This impromptu movement has grown into a dedicated non-profit organisation on a mission to build ocean communities that care.
BWT was first introduced to TBCO when they participated in a beach clean-up back in 2021 and were overwhelmed by the energy and commitment of the TBCO Team. At BWT, we believe that every individual and every company play a role in shaping a better world and looking after our planet for future generations. We are committed to leading by example and inspiring others to join us on this pink journey.”
However, there is no future if we don´t act now. Water scarcity is a global problem, affecting millions of people around the world. For this reason, BWT are committed to corporate social responsibility (CSR). The BWT “AQUA PEARLS Foundation” supports a range of environmental and social projects around the world – we are promoting sustainable water use, supporting local communities and protecting natural resources.

A primary goal of The Beach Co-op is to empower coastal communities as guardians of our ocean. We feel this can be achieved by building good relationships between coastal communities and the ocean, thereby ensuring individual and community investment in protecting and regenerating ocean health.
